The Lifelong Learning Institute of Hot Springs Village is proud to present CMA nominee Max T. Barnes and Buddy Case to the Woodlands Auditorium on Sunday, March 22nd for a 2:00 pm matinee show! Tickets are general admission and are $25.00. Join us before the show and enjoy a BBQ dinner from Clampit’s Country Kitchen. Dinner service will begin at 12:00 pm and seats will be available in the Ouachita Activities Building and limited outside seating in the Porte Cochere. Dinner tickets are $15 each and do not include the concert.
CMA nominee Max T. Barnes is a hit writer who is the son of a hit writer. He wrote his first hit song at the age of 19, Vern Gosdin’s “Way Down Deep” and he’s been topping the charts ever since. He’s had 9 #1’s and hits in the USA with artists like George Jones, Randy Travis, and Diamond Rio but his biggest hit so far is “Love, Me” by Colin Raye.
Max T’s Father, Max D. Barnes (Remember D is for Dad) also wrote some of country music's most iconic songs. Including George Jones’ “Who’s Gonna Fill Their Shoes”, "Chiseled In Stone", and “Look At Us” by Vince Gill.
Between Max T. and his late father they have written 33 #1’s and hits and sold over 70 million records.
“Love, Me", the career launching hit For Colin Raye took Max T. to the CMA awards as a CMA “Song of the Year” Nominee. But Max T. Barnes did not win it that time around. Among other greats, he was up against his dad, legendary songwriter Max D. Barnes. His father took home the award that night with “Look At Us”, a song written by him and Vince Gill. “My poor mom didn’t know who to root for”, Max T. remembers. “I am proud to have been a part of the only father/ son competition in CMA history.” His father, Max D., had also won in 1989 with “Chiseled In Stone” as well as a Grammy nomination.
In the past 2 years Max T. Barnes has toured Australia twice, Ireland, Belgium, Scotland, England, Sweden, Norway, Canada and the USA doing shows and his songwriting seminars.
He was awarded Hot Country TV’s International Artist Of The Year of 2018.
He just signed a new publishing deal with Eleven Eleven Music in Nashville, and scored a cut on Trace Adkins new album called “I’m Gone”. Max T has just finished producing a new album for Bobby Bare.
